| The clients’ intention in this combination was to create a loft within their post-war co-op building on the Upper East Side. LGA completely opened the space and used the raw concrete ceiling and refurbished wood plank floor as a blank slate. Millwork installations enhanced areas of the ceiling to define the domestic uses of the spaces. Sliding wood and translucent wall panels strengthen the open plan. The result is a simple and elegant space.
As with about half of our residential projects, LGA refined the architectural design of this home with the interior décor including design, selection and coordination of furniture, lighting, accessories and decorative finishes. |
