This landmark restaurant was originally established in 1912 as an exclusive men’s club. Its spirited history continued during prohibition as a speakeasy and it was this era that the owner wanted to recapture in the gut renovation. LGA introduced a private perception to this celebrated venue by using dramatic viewpoints and draped materials. These create a voyeuristic sensation as one passes into each space. The bar itself is a grand statement – a celebration in reference to the days of old. The Dougherty family owns both the Knife and Fork and Docks Oyster House, which LGA renovated in 2001. |
