Chad – Landmarks District Renovation and Addition – NY, NY – 2004-2006 – 12,000 SF
LGA Team: Lynn Gaffney, Jarrett Boor, Kevin Nasello, Richard Stucki
Client: Christian Pompa of Caro Enterprises; Contractor: CPL Construction
LGA’s client purchased this vacant commercial building on a vibrant restaurant block. Our challenge was to add required square footage while respecting the Ladies Mile Historical Landmark District. This complete gut renovation and addition (structural, mechanical, architectural) brought a dilapidated building into the modern world. The original south facade remained standing alone after demolition and was restored with attentive details. LGA also designed interior finished spaces for the client’s executive suite on the fifth floor and his staff offices on the fourth floor. The lobby was also designed using lighting panels to express the architectural peculiarities of the space. (The lobby design was not executed.)
